Mulcahy Co. contributed to the installation of a cutting-edge Central Utility Plant (CUP) that replaces outdated systems with more efficient, sustainable technology. This 70,000 square foot, three-story facility now powers the entire campus with reliable heating, cooling, water, and electricity.
The CUP is equipped with advanced HVAC components, including BAC cooling towers, ABB variable frequency drives (VFDs), Bell & Gossett e-90 pumps and Ecocircs, and more. These systems work together to optimize energy efficiency, reduce consumption, and lower operational costs. This modern approach not only improves the plant’s performance but also supports the broader sustainability initiatives on campus, ensuring a more efficient future.
